4115_Bates Co. Bridge Replacement - Bents 1 & 2 Cap Pours

  Arrived onsite at 10:40, Contractor was finishing up from work. Concrete to be onsite at 11:00, I walked around and checked steel placement and from work. Concrete is running late, it finally arrived at 11:42. I tested concrete. Air: 5.5%, Slump: 3-3/4", and Temp:71°. They began pouring cap for Bent 1. Made a set of 3 cylinders. Pour went good, guys finished working concrete on bent 1 and waited for concrete for Bent 2. Bent 2 Concrete arrived at 1:53, I tested the concrete: Air: 5.5%, Slump: 6", and Temp:70°. They began bent 2 cap pour. Bent 2 cap pour went good, Girders will be ready on May 4th. Contractor will strip forms next week and build pads for crane to set Girders.
